Instructor, Kelly Margetts is among the fastest paddlers in the world, ranking in the top 20! He has so much expert training to offer local paddlers, we are excited that he is traveling all the way from Australia to Urban Kai!
This Race Preparation clinic will cover all fundamentals of SUP race technique. Kelly will analyze your stroke to teach you how to create full body connection and muscle activation through each phase of the paddle stroke. This allows you to be more efficient, powerful and increases your endurance. Kelly will also cover Training Programs with Racing Tips & Strategies!

Kelly Margetts lives in the ocean. The famously laid-back Aussie has spent most of his life on the sun-drenched surf mecca of Queensland's Gold Coast, where he works as a professional lifeguard and where he began stand up paddling a decade ago.
After pioneering the sport in Australia, Kelly hit the international stage in 2010, finishing top 10 at the Battle of the Paddle. Over the past seven year Kelly continues to be a fixture at the biggest races in the world.
Regularly vanquishing guys less than half his age, Kelly's race highlights include a 4th place at the 2013 BOP Elite Race, as well as a monumental win at the Gorge Paddle Challenge -- one of the most competitive races of 2015. There was also a trip to Peru to represent Team Australia at the ISA Worlds, where he helped the 'Green & Gold' win the team world title.
Kelly follows a professional and highly-structured race training program, which was created by Paddle Power Trainer and is supported by Sunova, a fresh new brand in the race market, Quickblade paddles and Virus.
